A quiet campsite at dusk, a scatter of trees, and room for exactly one tent beside each of them. Pitch every tent in the right spot and the lanterns light up for the night.
Tentative is a calm, clever tents-and-trees logic puzzle. There is no luck and no guessing: every campsite has exactly one solution, and you can reach it by reasoning alone.
HOW YOU PLAY
• Every tree gets its own tent, right above, below, left or right of it – never diagonally.
• Tents never touch each other, not even at the corners.
• The numbers beside the rows and columns say how many tents each line holds.
• Tap a cell once for grass, again for a tent. Drag to lay grass over many cells at once.
• Auto-grass (optional) clears the cells the rules already rule out.
• Undo and redo any move.
HINTS THAT TEACH
Stuck? The hint first outlines where to look, then explains the reasoning – and only makes the move if you ask. The first time a new idea comes up, it is explained in general, so you learn the trick instead of just getting the answer.
