RANI is a puzzle about a well you see from above. A figure appears on one of the four walls and descends step by step, then bends over the edge at the bottom edge to the bottom and continues down the well without changing orientation until it hits a wall or other blocks already lying down.
Because of this bend, the usual logic of falling figures breaks down: you have to think not about where the figure will fall, but about what it will become once it crosses the edge. A line is counted based on filled rows and columns at the bottom—the board works in both directions at once.
Failed to bend over? The wall is blocked for several turns, and the game is one side less. If all four are blocked, the game is over.
