Imua links your phone's screen time to your physical activity. Pick apps that distract you — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, games — and they stay locked until you've earned the right to use them by moving.
HOW IT WORKS
Choose one of two modes:
• Goal-Gate — blocked apps unlock for the rest of the day once your daily step goal is reached. Simple: move first, scroll later.
• Earn-Time — every 1,000 steps (or another ratio you pick) earns you a set number of minutes of access. Use up the budget and the lock comes back.
Keep moving to keep unlocking.
Your progress is read automatically from Health Connect, so any fitness app or wearable that writes to Health Connect works: Google Fit, Samsung Health, Garmin, Polar, Fitbit, and more.

PRIVACY FIRST
Imua is private by design. It stores your block list and settings locally on your device. It does not have a server, does not create an account, and does not transmit your health data or app-usage data anywhere. Health Connect data stays on your device and is used only to compute your local goal progress.
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
• Usage Access — required to detect which app is in the foreground so Imua knows when to show the lock. Granted in system settings.
• Display over other apps — required to draw the lock screen over blocked apps.
• Accessibility service (optional) — makes detection faster and more reliable. Imua only reads foreground-app events; it never reads screen content.
• Health Connect — read-only access to your daily step count, the single measure Imua uses to decide when your blocked apps unlock. It is read on your device, is never transmitted or shared, and Imua requests no other health data.
REQUIREMENTS
Android 8.0 (API 26) or later. Health Connect must be installed (available free on Google Play). Step data must be written to Health Connect by a fitness app or wearable.
