Keep the records on your watch as your own files.
WatchDataBridge reads health and workout records from a paired HUAWEI watch, saves them on your Android phone, and exports files for Google Drive or your PC. It reads from the watch without Google Fit or Health Connect.
Only HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 has been tested on real hardware. Other GT models are untested and may not work. BLE connections for the original GT and GT 2e are unsupported. Sleep, stress and GPS retrieval for models that only use the newer protocol is unsupported.
Features
• Save stress, sleep intervals, heart rate, resting heart rate, activity and workout records. Available data varies by watch, firmware and measurements.
• Connect to your watch, then use Get and sync from watch to retrieve records and write them to your chosen destination. Without a destination, records stay on the phone.
• View record counts, recent records and retrieval results. Expand settings and logs when needed.
• Choose which categories to sync. Narrowing the selection also excludes raw files that may contain other categories.
• Choose your own Google Drive account and destination in Android's file picker. Later syncs update the same ZIP file.
• Export all parsed data as JSON, stress/sleep/workout summaries as CSV, or all records with raw data as ZIP.
• Use the ZIP files for storage and analysis on your PC.
Your own destination
Google sign-in and cloud uploads are handled by the installed Drive app. WatchDataBridge does not access Google passwords or access tokens, use a shared developer Google API, or send records to a developer server. This release is free, with no ads, analytics SDKs or in-app purchases.
Before you start
• Health queries cover the last 7 days; workout queries cover all records still on the watch. Deleted watch records and Huawei Health's cloud history cannot be retrieved.
• Each sync writes all saved periods for the selected categories. Incremental and scheduled background sync are not implemented.
• Keep the app screen open during retrieval. Leaving the screen stops watch communication.
• Check cloud-upload completion in the Drive app.
• The app does not infer deep sleep or REM from GT 2 TruSleep. Returned sleep type codes may have no confirmed stage names.
• SpO2 measurements were not observed during hardware testing. Blood oxygen retrieval is not guaranteed.
• Detailed workout time series and GPS/PDR tracks are saved as raw data. Parsed individual JSON and map display are not implemented.
• The watch's connection to Huawei Health may switch temporarily.
• This is not an official Huawei or Gadgetbridge app. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent disease. Consult a physician for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Requirements
Android 8 or later, a Bluetooth-capable phone and a paired supported watch. Saving to Drive requires your own Google account and the Drive app. Mobile data charges and the destination service's storage limits and terms apply.
Export your watch records to Drive or PC. Tested with HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 only.
