About this app

mCAT is an educational tool and academic research platform. It does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment plans, clinical assessments, or therapeutic interventions. It is designed solely for personal cognitive tracking, cognitive psychology studies, and general brain training.

Why Choose mCAT?
Our minds process information through multiple complex networks. mCAT breaks these down into six core gamified micro-tasks, allowing you to test your memory retention, processing speed, attentional control, mental flexibility, and emotional recognition in under 10 minutes.

Key Assessment Exercises:
- Face Task (Emotion Recognition):
Test your social cognition and visual processing by identifying subtle human emotions from facial expressions.
- Word Task (Short-Term Auditory Memory):
Listen to a sequence of words and recall as many as possible to evaluate your immediate auditory registration.
- Letter-Number Task (WAISL) (Auditory Attention):
Identify, filter, and recall mixed sequences of numbers and letters under timed conditions to measure selective
auditory focus.
- Organization Task(Working Memory & Sequencing):
Listen to randomized characters and mentally sort them into precise numerical and alphabetical sequences,
measuring mental flexibility.
- Word Recall Task (Delayed Recall):
Re-test your retrieval strength by recalling the auditory word list after completing intermediate tasks, testing
long-term memory consolidation.
- Coding Task (Processing Speed):
Translate geometric symbols into corresponding letters using a dynamic code breaker index, testing visual scanning and executive function.

Exclusive Features:
Audio & Mic Verification: Built-in audiometric speaker and microphone diagnostics ensure your device is perfectly calibrated before starting verbal tasks.
