Scenes for Sonos turns your favorite Sonos routines into one-tap home screen shortcuts. Free, no ads, no account.

Create a scene once — pick a playlist or Sonos favorite, choose which speakers should play, set the volume for each one — then pin it to your home screen. Tapping the shortcut instantly starts (or stops) that exact setup across your speakers, no need to open an app and navigate menus first.

HOW IT WORKS
Scenes for Sonos talks directly to your Sonos speakers over your local Wi-Fi network. There's no cloud account, no login, and no Sonos account linking required — your phone just needs to be on the same network as your speakers.

WHY IT'S FREE
I built this one for myself. I was tired of unlocking my phone, opening an app, finding the right playlist and then picking the right speakers, just to get music on in the kitchen. It's a hobby project, it ended up working rather well, and it seemed a waste to leave it sitting on my own phone.

So it's free. No ads, nothing locked behind a purchase, no subscription, no account, and nothing to sell — there's no data to collect in the first place. Free software has saved me a lot of evenings over the years. This one is on me.

PRIVACY
Everything runs locally between your phone and your Sonos system. No account creation, no ads, no data collection beyond optional, user-initiated diagnostic logs you can choose to send if something goes wrong (see privacy policy for details).

REQUIREMENTS
• A Sonos system on your local Wi-Fi network
• Your phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your speakers

What’s new

• Home screen shortcuts sometimes stopped working when your router gave a speaker a new address. The scene just timed out, even though Sonos itself played fine. The app now notices and finds the speaker again on its own.
