Accidents caused by the bite of poisonous animals have serious consequences for public health. Its poisons generate local and / or general disorders that can sometimes cause death. Many of the cases of accidents with poisonous are recorded in children and rural workers of productive age.
In the Pampas region there is little information, dissemination and prevention in relation to accidents with poisonous animals. This project proposes to collaborate in the identification of poisonous species found in both rural and urban areas and promote preventive actions in the community to avoid accidents. Training will be carried out for health personnel, teachers, students from rural and urban areas, didactic material will be developed, virtual and interactive collections of the specimens will be created, their geographical location and natural alternatives will be sought to produce repellents.
To inform and prevent accidents with poisonous animals, it is necessary to strengthen and link with social and governmental actors, nuclear these sectors to generate a regional action plan that allows to combine criteria to respond to population inquiries; as well as, generate research on species that cause danger to human health.
