PRESIDENTIAL ACTIONS AND SCHEDULED OBSERVANCES

Unscheduled half-staff periods may be established through Presidential proclamations or orders. FlagMinder checks for accepted Federal actions and can notify you when one begins or ends.

FlagMinder also tracks recurring Federal half-staff observances established by law, including days with partial-day requirements.

RELIABLE FAILURE BEHAVIOR

FlagMinder does not silently present old information as current. If status information cannot be confirmed within the required freshness period, the app reports that the status is not current.

IMPORTANT

Status information may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. When timing is critical, confirm the information using the linked official Federal source. A governor or other authority may issue an order that applies in your location even when the Federal status remains unchanged.
