It's still young. The panel by panel navigation is great, and the movie more is pretty good. The algorithm used isn't perfect, but it's close. But. It needs to be able to import, analyze, and read without extracting the cbz/r (most readers don't extract). It takes up too much time and storage space using the current method. It would also be nice to have the analyzing happen during reading. And importing multiple files is a bit buggy.
Amazing Comic Book Reader Comic Time is great for a comfortable comic book reading experience. It not only scans the comics panel wise, but also stores them in its library instead of creating a shortcut for the file. Since the app scans all comics, it lets you read in either page by page mode or panel by panel mode. The only drawback according to me are that the app does not read pdf files. It can only read .cbz or .cbr files. The panel scanning method is effecient in most cases, only exceptions are the non conventional panels.
I really love the way this app works using panel by panel reading as well as the option to take diffrent pathways to find comics on my phone. The only issue I have is the calibration of the panel by panel display. I understand that it may not always work but the button on the upper left sude to zoom out to the full page is hard to get a response from. Make that button more sensitive and this is the best comic reading app out there.
Great app! I hated reading comics on my phone until I found this app with its guided view. It's perfect for reading most comics and doesn't require you to memorize hot spots. Just swipe. Simple library functions well. I hope the author releases a paid ad-free version but the ads here are fine too. If had one wish of this app, it would be to have the option to touch corners of my screen instead of swiping. But as I said, simple swipe is still simple.
Best reading experience for a phone! I've tried a bunch of other readers over the last year. This is the only one that helped me get through 50 issues of backlog. Really enjoy the classic guided view over movie mode in case the panel detection doesn't work. Props to the dev.
Two words: Guided view This is the only app I've found that has a guided view mode for drm free comic files. Unlike marvel and other companies' guided views, it uses an algorithm to detect panels. So while its not always perfect its about the only way to get guided view on your e-comics without paying money to the big guys and using their app. And if guided view doesn't work right for some reason, it can also display full pages like other normal comic viewers. Does what they do and so much more.
New guided view options: You can choose between a classic guided view navigation or the movie mode.
New option to add all comics in a folder.
Fix some errors:
- File format detection improved
- Avoid false panel navigation when zooming out
- Crash opening settings in some devices
