I created Settled because I struggled with my energy levels, concentration, and being mindful.
I saw lots of short TikToks about various frequencies, sounds, and noises that were supposed to help people calm down or stay focused. Some of them helped me — most did not. But which sounds, if any, actually make a difference is highly individual. So I wanted an app with frequencies, sounds, and noises.
About a year ago, I also struggled to stay mindful throughout the day. I was mindful in the morning when I planned my day and journaled my goals — then I forgot all about it and either raced or crashed through the day. I realized I needed an app that simply pinged me each hour.
When I decided to make a wellness app, Mindful Ping and Sounds were natural to include. The other two parts, Breathwork and Meditation, are practices I’ve followed for many years. Now I just wanted everything useful in one place.
I made the app tailored for my own needs and experiences. I hope other people also find it useful.
