Tarvis is a hands-free companion for the official Microsoft Teams app, built specifically for driving: speak, Tarvis types what you say into the Teams app for you, and reads the reply back out loud through your speakers — no need to look at or touch the phone.

Why Tarvis exists

Typing on a phone while driving isn't safe, and voice support built into everyday apps doesn't always cover every language or every situation. Tarvis solves that without replacing the Teams app or requiring a separate account — it drives your existing Teams app session on your behalf, in the language you choose.

How it works

1. Tap the floating mascot to start listening.
2. Speak — Tarvis recognizes your speech and sends it to the Teams app automatically.
3. When Teams replies, Tarvis reads it aloud and mutes the microphone while speaking.
4. Tap again to interrupt the reply or to mute listening.

Important

Tarvis requires the Android Accessibility permission to function — it uses this to read Teams's replies off the screen and to type your speech into its input field. This permission exists specifically to enable hands-free use while driving; Tarvis does not collect or transmit data to any server of its own.

What’s new

Tarvis now speaks your language.

The app itself is translated into 40 languages — everything on screen, not just the store page. Pick your spoken language separately from the display language in Settings.

Also new: if your phone has no speech engine installed, Tarvis now explains that and offers to install one, instead of showing empty voice settings.
