I want to like this app. It stalls when I try to view who at my door when I receive an alert. Until some bugs are fix I am not able to answer my door bell remotely. I can view the video afterward though. The iPhone app work much better. She can answer the doorbell from her phone where I do not even bother.
As long as you have good WiFi exactly where you mount the door bell then you'll have no issues. If you use a WiFi repeater, you'll get connection problems if you try to connect on the same WiFi network. Only solution is a WiFi mesh network. Video quality pretty ropey but the app works really well, movement detection is brilliant.
It's hit or miss if this will work. You need the app to actually use the device. Ring needs to figure this out. If you pay for the device and the app fails to work properly ALL the time, it is how you get sued. They've made millions! HOW can their IT dept NOT get it right?!
The product is one of a kind. I enjoy knowing whats going on at my home. The connection was easy, and the fact that there is a lifetime warranty put my worries to ease. The customer service was unbeatable. The techs were knowledgeable, and patient. I have refered this company and product to several people. Because my mechanical doorbell wasn't compatible with Ring, the customer service rep sent me out a Chime Pro, and said we wouldnt dare have you spend any more money to get it rolling. Wow whata company, finally someone who isnt afraid to make their customer happy. Good job RING!
Great product. Love the recording on the app and on the website. Only improvement I like to see is I wish RING would allow or implement more option for the My Neighborhood video recording. Too many times I have question for the video but can not communicate with the uploader. Please update this. Cool feature on the app but starting to dislike it because of no communication option.
Still no fix for when I have my Samsung Gear 3 Frontier on Bluetooth enabled and my Ring app on my phone alerts me to a camera sensor going off. I click on the App and it tries to call my own number via my Bluetooth smartwatch. I am NOT trying to run this on my watch. Fix the bug. Disabling Bluetooth to use my cameras is annoying. No support for this problem.
The latest update to the Ring app includes bug fixes.
