About this app

This app displays your current location's elevation, color-coded elevation, slope, shaded relief, aerial photographs, a regular map, and address. Understanding the terrain of your current location is useful for terrain interpretation and mountaineering.

1. [Map] displays a standard map, satellite imagery, and topographic map of your current location.

Touching [mail] allows you to send the URL of your current location's map and address via email, letting family and friends know your location. Use this for emergency contact during disasters.

Turning the [GPS switch] ON (green) activates the location sensor, displaying your current location's latitude, longitude, and address.

Touching [Register] registers the displayed address data in the database.

2. [Elevation] is an elevation map. Elevation lines represent the height, showing your elevation.

3. [Color-coded] is an elevation map color-coded according to elevation.

4. [Slope] is a slope map, calculating the amount of inclination of the ground surface and representing its magnitude with shades of black and white. Whiter areas indicate gentler slopes, while blacker areas indicate steeper slopes. This is useful for interpreting topographic features such as plateaus, terraces, mountains, volcanic landforms, landslides, and faults.
5. [Shaded] is a shaded relief map, created by shining light from the northwest towards the ground surface, so that the northwest side of the uneven ground surface is white and the southeast side is black. This is useful for identifying ridge lines, valley lines, and interpreting faults.
6. [Aerial] is an aerial photograph.

7. [Address] displays the current location's latitude, longitude, postal code, prefecture, city/ward/town/village, town, block, house number, building number, city/ward/town/village pronunciation, and town pronunciation.
8. [List] is a list of addresses registered in the database. Registered addresses can be sorted by date, latitude, longitude, and address. You can display maps and other information based on registered addresses. You can back up your registered addresses in JSON format using DB Export and restore them using DB Import, so please use this feature when changing devices.
