LYZO © compiles data on the health inspections of the drinking water distributed in all municipalities in France.
Water analyses are complex and often difficult to decipher. LYZO simplifies the process and allows you to make more informed choices about tap water.
You will know the water quality in your municipality (sometimes updated just a few days ago) as well as the history of health inspections for the last 12 months.
While on vacation, traveling in a camper van, you will know the water quality in different municipalities.
You will be able to easily find out if pesticides, PFAS (perennial pollutants), and the nitrate levels are tested for in your water. Is your water hard? Is a water softener necessary? How much salt do I need for my dishwasher? LYZO will inform you about the limescale content.
The application is free, independent, and ad-free.
■ HEALTH INFORMATION ■
LYZO uses a simple color code to indicate the quality of your tap water: compliant (green), non-compliant (yellow/orange), limited (red), restricted (black). For each analysis, you have the health conclusion.
What do turbidity, calcium carbonate, metabolite, and THM mean?
To help you better understand your water quality, a dynamic glossary explains the vocabulary used in the health conclusion.
An additional visual may indicate recommendations:
- Let the water run before drinking
- Boil the water before drinking
- The water may have an unpleasant odor, color, or taste
- Reconsider taking selenium supplements
Other features:
- Compare your tap water to different bottled waters
- Add municipalities to your favorites (primary residence, vacation spots, family...)
- You can track the evolution of hundreds of parameters of your choice (pH, temperature, pesticides, PFAS...) over the last 5 years.
- View detailed analysis parameters with a color-coded visualization to easily identify exceedance thresholds.
- For each municipality within a department, easily access information on water hardness (calcium).
You can access the number of analyses per department or as a percentage, with a color-coded breakdown.
■ OFFICIAL DATA - WATER QUALITY ■
LYZO uses public data from the Ministry of Solidarity and Health - Original data: https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/resultats-du-controle-sanitaire-de-leau-distribuee-commune-par-commune/
Water analysis data is updated monthly by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health after a one-month delay (for example, February data is available in early April).
LYZO is not an official application of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. Water usage restrictions are communicated by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) in your region and/or your local town hall.
