AUG Launcher (Android Unique Gesture Launcher) is a unique launcher that has a number of interesting features.

AUG L is a package of, Launcher + App locker + Dialler (Existing phone contacts).

Hide Apps and make a clean UI that holds your privacy.

Make folders based on your interests or the behaviour of the apps and thus make a clean & smart UI.

All of your apps(except "HIDDEN" apps when in “GUEST” mode) and folders are listed in Alphabetic order either in "HORIZONTAL" or "VERTICAL" mode.

Customize your apps icon, choose an Icon pack (Go to AUG L settings --> Icon pack).

> No Ads :

For the first 48 hours after installation, you can perform all gesture operations as a free trial.

If you are new to AUG L please follow the tutorial (on the first launch after installation)/Help (AUG L Settings -> Help) for understand how AUG L works.

To make gesture recognition better,
- It is recommend to edit the gestures based on your priority.
- Select a feasible sensitivity of gesture on home(Go to AUG L Settings -> Home).

This app uses the Device Administrator permission - ONLY FOR LOCK SCREEN BY USING SWIPE/GESTURE ACTION.

This app uses the AccessibilityService API for
1) LOCK SCREEN BY USING SWIPE/GESTURE ACTION.
2) SHOW NOTIFICATION BAR/QUICK SETTINGS BAR/RECENT APPS(in some devices only) by using SWIPE/GESTURE ACTION.

Because of some Android policy update, it is not possible to retrieve the unread count of SMS and MISSED CALLS

Really unique . edit: this day I still love idea of this long-term but I think I've been using it now over 3 years on and off and there's still no search function on the app drawer which makes just basic searching for apps that way and incredibly time-consuming if you use a lot of them. gestures don't always work but you can customize them which helps. but not much has changed since 2022 when I started tinkering I'm not going to delete it. It's starting to feel more like a party trick though.

Awesome concept. After years, I wanted to replace Nova Launcher with it. Unfortunately, it's buggy and there seems to be no ongoing development. After all, I bought the pro version too early out of the excitement. Aside of that, my only wishes would be that it's easier to organise multiple apps into folders at once and that there would be options to start apps or shortcuts from the dock with gestures (like pulling up of a folder starts the first app in the folder or a specific app).

Edit: Is this app still actively maintained? I've used this for awhile now, and really like it. I like it for its simplicity, first of all. I don't make use of all the features, but I do really like the guest user feature. Very quickly you can switch to guest user, which can be set up to restrict access to certain apps. It's great if you need to share a phone with someone, or are concerned about someone being nosy. One thing, I wish you could manually arrange apps in the app drawer.
