Every night you repeat the same operations to set up your mount.
- Where is north?
- Does my mount level?
- What are the GPS coordinates?
- Where is the polar viewfinder of my EQ6?
- When the moon will rise and set ?
- what is the moon phase tonight ?
That is the purpose of this application: group all these tools in a single application.
Easy to use, simply scroll through the screens to move the compass level bubble and the polar position calculation screen.
The polar calculation screen takes into account your GPS position.
The time on the screen is the hour angle on your mount (watch for rings).
The diagram shows the position of the pole in the viewfinder.
Your station setup will be more accurate if you use the hour angle. This will allow you to get a more accurate tracking. Very useful for astrophotographers!
Astronomy Tools quickly becomes critical business!
If the results of the compass are strange, it may be the calibration.
In this case, try to make "8" movements on the compass screen to calibrate your device.
Feel free to send me an email for remarks and if you have some more ideas :-) !
