The official Greek wallet application of the Greek and European digital certificates COVID (Digital Covid Certificates) is available through the official account of the Hellenic Republic and enables the registration of certificates and attestations in the application for everyday use where they are required.

I was connected in Cyprus. It takes ages for the app to sync. Took me 20mins. I had to go through the process multiple times. App went freezing, with errors, displaying "no connection", i experienced all the unexpected reactions. Every time, I had to request the OTP code twice to receive it. The identity certificate is entitled in both Greek and English, but there is absolutely no English information. Why the fuss to entitle the document? The system has a lot of room for improvement.

26 days after adding identification support, after dozens upon dozens of attempts, I still am not able to take advantage of the feature as there always seems to be some sort of glitch. Given that you are required to present your identification so as to enter in any store right now, I believe it is paramount for this issue to be addressed immediately.

Finally! Now the app works fine. Thanks to a hint from a posting from 29.12.21, I was able to overcome instantly the problem with the ID import by changing my default browser from Firefox to Chrome! And that after more than 30 unsuccessful tries over the past 8 days! To the Devs: PLEASE check the function of ID import also with other browser apps!
