Gov.gr Wallet is the official Greek wallet application, which is available through the official account of the Hellenic Republic, it enables the creation, storage and control of the new digital identity cards and digital driving licenses.

The new digital identity cards and driver's license are digital documents issued through gov.gr and are fully equivalent to paper documents, for any legal use within the Greek territory. They are not international travel documents.

To create a digital identity card and driver's license, your personal TaxisNet codes and the possession of a confirmed mobile phone number in EMEp are necessary.

I downloaded this app hoping to use it as a convenient way to access my digital identity card and driving license, but I was very disappointed. The app does not work on my phone, which runs on Android 13, it used to work on previous phones running older versions of Android. Currently it always shows an error message, this app is useless and frustrating, a waste of space and time.

The app works flawlessly. It has saved my life! I could not carry my ID with me due to it being big, but now everything is in my phone! Thankfully we are also getting new IDs so now my ID will fit in my wallet. But thanks to this app, I will leave the physical ID safe at home. Amazing app. :)

The citizen id does not work. When a code is sent via SMS it throws an error and does not continue. But the driving license works fine. I do not understand what is the point with having an app for so long to basically not work. Either fix it or remove the app.
