The Quest - Ragnar's Revenge is an expansion to The Quest, a beautifully hand-drawn open world role playing game with old school grid-based movement and turn based combat.

After enabling the expansion, you can explore new areas and adventures. However, if you don't have The Quest, you can also play the expansion as a standalone game.

After many years, you've returned to the land of Humbria, summoned by the widow of Lord Stonely, whom you served once before. He commissioned you to kill the Viking Ragnar the Berserker who ran off with his daughter Freda.

Unknown to you, the great god Thor also awaits you in Humbria. He also needs your aid. His mission will send you to the cold world of Helheim, home of the dishonorable dead, where you'll confront Ragnar and his legions once again.

To access the new areas (not applicable if you are playing the expansion standalone), go to Matras harbor and talk to captain Verra, then select "Ragnar's Revenge" as your travel destination. It's recommended you reach at least level 25 before taking on the challenges posed by this expansion.

Ratings and reviews

I've yet to see a series that has continued making as many expansions as this one that can be played alone or continuously, unless you have a overly leveled character for easier expansions in which case a fresh start is the usual way to play. This is a series I will never get tired of waiting in anticipation for the next expansion.

Love this expansion very much. The puzzle is challenging enough. And I love the fact that you get a house (perma storage) at early game. Since I like collecting items the most, hope the dev will add more new artwork for monsters and items in the future expansions.

Like Thor's Hammer on steroids. it's got enchantable gear up there with Level 75 Luko 5. 13k Rod of Destruction after whacking Ragnar at the end and 15k enchanter for 25k bucks to fully enchant the 13k Rod of Destruction (strongest weapon in all 20 expansion packs). I should've bought this a year ago after Thor's Hammer but couldn't find any reviews on it so got it now with only 3-4 left possible to buy. Well worth the purchase. Creatures seemed weak against my Level 23 character.
