About this game

An expansion by Zarista Games.

The Quest - Abyssal Islands is an expansion to The Quest, a beautifully hand-drawn open world role playing game with old school grid-based movement and turn based combat.

After enabling the expansion, you can explore new areas and adventures. However, if you don't have The Quest, you can also play the expansion as a standalone game.

The Abyssal Islands are a group of islands around a supervolcano, Mt. Lisa. Many of them were devastated when Mt. Lisa last blew. The inhabitants have slowly rebuilt but now it looks like further and greater devastation may be coming.

Merwin Embersleeve, Chief Engineer, and Overseer of the Dwarven High Mining Expedition, Reef Velaya has asked you to do whatever it takes to neutralize the volcano so their mining operations, the islands and their inhabitants, are not destroyed.

To access the new areas (not applicable if you are playing the expansion standalone), go to Matras harbor and talk to captain Verra, then select "Abyssal Islands" as your travel destination. It's recommended you reach at least level 25 before taking on the challenges posed by this expansion.

still fun but not quite as good as other expansions. it didn't take very long to finish the quests and while I did enjoy the final quest it seemed anticlimactic. most of the new items are overpowered so you barely get hurt while running through enemies very quickly. good for a completionist or someone who is head over heels for the franchise. otherwise I'd skip this one honestly

a wonderful old school and original experience. good story, deep mechanics and character building, turn based, life consuming! I played a few expansions and it makes me want to do the rest while waiting for the dev to finish new ones!!!!!!!!!
