You sit down to study, and the phone wins again.

Axpertz Focus is a lock you put on yourself. Choose how long, choose which apps stay allowed, press START. For that stretch of time, everything else is out of reach.

HOW IT WORKS, AND THE PERMISSION IT NEEDS

Axpertz Focus uses Android's AccessibilityService API. This is what makes the app work, and it is used for one purpose only: to see which app has just come to the foreground, so that an app you chose to block can be closed and you are returned to the home screen.

The app reads only the package name of the app in front of you. It does not read screen content, messages, passwords or anything you type, in this app or any other. That information is never stored, never logged and never sent anywhere. Before the permission is requested, the app shows you a full explanation and asks you to agree or decline; declining is a real choice and nothing is requested if you take it. You can withdraw the permission at any time in Android Settings, and blocking stops immediately.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION

- A blocked app will not open. You are sent back to the home screen, with the time remaining shown.
- Phone calls and text messages always work. They are never blocked, no matter how long the session is.
- Need out early? A full minute of waiting first, then your PIN. And it is counted, so you can see how often you gave in.
- Restart the phone and the lock is still there.
- Optional: stop the app being uninstalled while a session is running.

The app follows your phone's language and can be switched between हिंदी and English with one tap.

NO ACCOUNT, NO ANALYTICS

There is no sign-up and no server of ours. Your sessions, your app list, your PIN and your record stay on your phone and are deleted when you uninstall. One banner advertisement is shown at the bottom of the session screen, served by Google AdMob; that is the only reason the app uses the internet, and there are no ads anywhere else and no full-screen ads at all.
