Keeping in view the need of alternative education to achieve the goal of education for everyone in Madhya Pradesh, as the National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Board was established as a result of the decision of the Council of Ministers on 29/03/1995. This institution has been functioning as an autonomous body registered as a committee since August 1995.
