About this app

Physioplux for Bruxism runs on a tablet and is part of the GEMPro Sleep Wellness Monitor System.

Bruxism, TMJ, and Sleep Apnea are all related conditions affecting Sleep Quality and are of interest to a dentist concerned about a patient’s preventative dental care.

Physioplux for Bruxism helps determine a person’s Sleep Quality by recording 4 channels of information:

- EMG from the masseter muscle for determining night time tooth clenching and tooth grinding

- SpO2 from a wrist pulse oximeter for indicating the likelihood (not diagnosis) of Sleep Apnea by displaying oxygen desaturations at night

- Audio for measuring Snoring activity

- Body position to help determine if any of these conditions vary with Sleep position.

These Sleep Wellness recordings are received from two bluetooth enabled small devices, a wrist pulse oximeter and a small BioBrux amplifier worn on a nightshirt, manufactured by Plux.

The user receives an email containing a PDF report at the end of a night displaying SaO2 saturation activity, Bruxism EMG activity, and Snore sound activity color coded by the Sleep Body Position. DDME, Inc. is the distributor of amplifiers required in the GEMPro Sleep Wellness Monitor System for the USA market, and Plux for the European.
