About this app

Groundrush is a phone companion for the FlySight 2 GPS logger. It connects over
Bluetooth so you can see what the device sees, set up your ENGO 3 heads-up
display, pull a jump off the logger and look at it — standing in the packing
area, with no laptop and no cable.

WHAT IT DOES

• Live telemetry — vertical and horizontal speed, altitude, glide ratio,
satellites and fix quality, straight off the device.
• ENGO 3 HUD setup — choose what the glasses show and how often they refresh,
and bind a FlySight to one specific pair. No laptop needed.
• Track library — import .csv and .gpx files, browse them by day, export and
share. Everything stays on your phone and works offline.
• Jump analysis — exit altitude, freefall time, speeds and glide ratio, with
automatic detection of the flown segment.
• 3D replay — see the flight path from any angle.
• Winds aloft — wind by altitude, so the numbers describe the air you were
actually in.
• Firmware updates over the air for the custom ENGO HUD firmware.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

No account. No advertising. No analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Your
tracks are files on your phone; nothing is uploaded anywhere. The one thing that
leaves the device is a jump's coordinates, sent to public weather services to
look up the wind — described in full in the privacy policy.

Groundrush is free. Everything listed above stays free.

WHAT YOU NEED

A FlySight 2. For the heads-up display, ENGO 3 glasses running ActiveLook
firmware. The app also opens tracks that are already on your phone, with no
device connected at all.

NOT AFFILIATED

Groundrush is an independent project. It is not made by, endorsed by or
affiliated with FlySight or ActiveLook.

What’s new

Adds the flight clock to the HUD layout editor ("Flight time", field 106). The FlySight draws it in place of the status line once takeoff is detected, and as the FAI Designated Lane indicator in wingsuit competition mode - but it could not be placed from the app before, so the top of the HUD stayed blank in the air.
