Works well. Menu is hard to navigate. Very confused the first time trying to find out how to start a session. Could use sound in the Kanji Character section to reinforce pronunciation. Kanji pronunciation is only available in the Kanji Vocabulary section. Would be nice if there was a reverse flashcard system, where you were given a word and had to draw the Kanji, to practice writing them and improving your word-to-kanji mental index.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll work on improving how to start a session. Please note that every Kanji word has pronunciation.

At first, I thought the app was really good. The features are great but the translations aren’t reliable, unfortunately. N5 and N4 were ok, but I'm having a hard time on N3. For example, the translation for 意志 was 'volition,' which, as a non-native English speaker, makes understanding quite difficult (instead of 'will' or 'intention'). The translation of 運転 was 'running,' when it was clearly something like 'operating a machine.' I myself learned 運転 as 'driving'. It's frustrating.

Thanks for your feedback. The app uses the open-source JMdict dictionary, just like the Jisho website. So, if you look up a word there, you will get the same results. I’m planning to add simpler meanings for all the words, but that’ll be later on.

The app that I've been looking for! Thank you for creating such a useful tool! Plus points for the seamless ux, too! In the future updates, please consider putting a shuffle tool in the custom set practice, so it wouldnt always start at the same word all the time... Also, In the "Kanji-hiragana-level 2", I hope you also put the eye icon for quick access to the meaning, (similar to the kanji hiragana level 1 layout).. right now it's tucked in the gear icon. That is all, you're the best!!!!!

Thank you so much for your 5-star review.. Also thanks for your suggestion. Will add the eye icon in the next update. Just like the other sets, the questions in a custom set will vary depending on your practice. The quiz with "Additional Options" will give you more ways to practice with "Unseen Cards."

What’s new

- Vocab challenge is now available for the N4 level.
- The number of vocabulary/kanji now adjusts in 10-step increments.
