The notarization process on the blockchain involves the following steps:
* creation of a hash: the document is converted into a unique string of characters, called a hash. This hash represents the digital fingerprint of the document and any modification, even minimal, would make it completely different.
* Registration on the blockchain: the hash is recorded within a block of the blockchain. Once recorded, the data becomes immutable and transparent, as it is visible to all nodes in the network.
* Timestamping: in addition to the hash, the exact date and time of registration is also recorded, thus providing irrefutable proof of the date of creation of the document.
Notarization on the blockchain offers the following advantages:
