About this app

mpv-android is a video player for Android based on libmpv.

Features:

Ratings and reviews

Much like the desktop version, there's a very bare bones UI that is somewhat confusing at times, but once you get used to it, what is revealed is by far the most performant and compatible video players ever. Also, music playlists ( made by putting all the songs in the same folder and then paying the folder ) instantly transition between songs unlike both VLC and the built in music player on my phone, very nice touch.

MPV is absolutely amazing!! I use it for frame interpolation and it's advanced features. As our latest devices becomes extremely powerful like 8 Elite & Dimensity 9400 SoCs, I hope MPV team will add more optimizations to the applications so we can truly have a fully advanced video player tightly integrated for maximum performance. Kudos to the team!!

probably the best player feature-wise. at least that's the only one, where everything that is has just works. some features are still missing tho, like playing by folder or adding multiple files into playlist at once, but overall it's the best. I also use it on PC, 0 regrets.
