The VerticalMan is a professional application that check the Man Down situation for lone workers; allows you to continuously monitor the posture of the worker, and warning locally with an alarm (visual and acoustic) and notifying remotely (via web service, GSM or VoIP call, email or SMS) if the inclination exceed an configured angle and maintained for a period of time.
VerticalMan boost the safety of lone worker, it's a professional Lone Worker Protection (LWP) system.
The smartphone must be wear on belt with an opportune case specific for your device.
The man down application, VerticalMan, also can controls immobility of the person, the level of battery charge and the availability of connectivity for remote notifications
The alarm notification can be one or all this types :
* via SMS
* via GSM call
* via Web
* via Email
* via VoIP (What's App, SIP)
* via SMS from Web
* via SMS from SMS Gateway
* via PTT call
The web notification work very well with WIFI connectivity and can notify other important information, application start, application closed, WIFI position, etc.)
The configuration is very completed and can be centralized if the wi-fi connectivity is available. In this way if the administrator need , for example, to change the SMS recipient can set the new phone number in one central file and the new configuration will be downloaded next time the VerticalMan start.
The application is oriented for business environment not for personal use. Our main customers are lone workers. If the safety is very important for you, choice a professional application.
VerticalMan is certificated to run on ATEX eCom and Ultra-Rugged Handheld, Athesì, Crosscall, Cyrus, Ruggear, Samsung e Zebra devices.

Not very sopisticated. It is only measuring orientation rather than impact. If you put the phone upside down in your pocket, you have fallen.

It is much safer to control the operator's posture than to impact.
You could get sick without having any impact.
In any case VericalMan also allows you to check the impact of the only smartphone or the vehicle on which the operator travels.
Sorry John but VerticalMan is the most complete lone worker safety solution on international market.

It costs 350 euros. You need to have a pocket or holder that keeps the phone orientated consistently with respect to your body, so a typical overall pocket is too big.

The smartphone with VerticalMan must be wear at belt with and holder; the pocket is not a safety place when to wear the device for Man Down App. If you need same other suggestions or tips, write to helpdesk@aldea.it
