About this app

Monitors the risk of infectious pressure of the main fungal diseases of soft wheat through forecasting models. Thanks to meteorological data Soft wheat SmartPEST 4.0 is able to anticipate the onset of symptoms of yellow rust, brown rust, septoria, powdery mildew and fusarium of the ear, as well as providing information on the risk of onset of mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON).
The graphic choices based on synthetic indices of green (low risk), yellow (medium-low risk), orange (medium-high risk) and red (high risk) color indices allow the user to understand if the conditions for the onset of one or more fungal diseases and consequently decide whether or not a treatment is necessary.
Thanks to forecasting models, it is possible to identify the best time for carrying out the phytosanitary treatment, ensuring greater effectiveness of the fungicide.

Phytopathological models are supported by other features such as meteorological information of the area, simulation of crop growth in the field and databases of plant protection products.
Grano Soft SmartPEST 4.0 therefore represents a virtual assistant designed for:
• transform scientific knowledge into practical field advice
• integrate farmers' experiences
• increase the likelihood that the court choices are correct.

The tool, which is aimed at both technicians and cereal growers, allows you to easily achieve various benefits, including:
• improve the yields and the quality of the grain, and therefore the profitability of the crop
• enhance the genetic material of the cultivated varieties
• reduce the environmental impact of phytosanitary treatments by optimizing the number of interventions and periods of application.
