Ratings and reviews

I love Monster Hunter and have been looking for a game like Airou Village for forever. And for the most part, this game does a good enough job. However, the longer it goes on and the more unfairly difficult the puzzles become, the more I want to put it down and give up. I understand puzzle games have to get harder, but some of even the easy puzzles feel too frustrating. I use power ups and waste resources only to still not complete the level by one item. The start was fun at least...

The game is a decent time killer. Monster Hunter is my favorite series and this captures the general theme in a match 3 setting. I don't like that I can't turn of the highlighting suggested move feature. But not a huge deal. My biggest annoyance is how many popups I have to click to decline continuing and start the map again. My second biggest annoyance is how easy it is to accidentally hit the continue button and waste a huge amount of currency.

Love the game, BUT as you go up in the higher levels 100+, it becomes VERY PAY 2 WIN. Especially when it comes to competing against other people. Even upgrading your character's armor/weapon is not much use, and it doesn't make a difference. It's more aesthetics. Even the rewards given out don't justify the amount of time/money spent just to pass the hard levels. I spend more money on the game than the rewards given out.
