Total garbage! Disconnects every time I quit playing. Can't play backing tracks on Bluetooth (one of the main reasons I bought this). I tried two android phones and my iPad pro. I'm going to call Boss then return this POS if it still won't work! I have a Yamaha THR10 if I wanted to walk to the amp or plug in my phone for a backing track! Plus it sounds WAY better than the Katana!

I liked the 1.30 version of the firmware!! After the learning curve and getting use to the interface/screen,. I found it was very good as other products have the same interface screens. Now with the new interface 2.0 version and above, it is not that intuitive, again a learning curve. What I really, really don't like is the NO CONNECTION, no matter what is tried............... To the EX, with the Airstep's as a bridge like the old 1.30 on the Katana Air. Not good, I like my Airsteps!!!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that you are not wholly satisfied with the latest version of the app. The app was updated to be made compatible with the Katana-AIR EX and as such, I am sorry to say that we cannot guarantee compatibility with the 3rd party Airstep.

As others have noted, the Katana Air amp is really nice; on the other hand the app and Bluetooth integration is horrible. It disconnects all the time with the phone (a new Samsung Note 9) no more than 4 feet away. Often I cannot get it to reconnect without restarting the app and the amp. When that doesn't work I uninstall and reinstall the app and it works for a short while. The app and the amp firmware need an update. Get on it Boss!
