R-07 Remote is an application that can remotely control Roland’s Hi-Res Audio Recorder "R-07" from smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth.

R-07 Remote allows you to manage recordings and ensure what’s being recorded is exactly what you want, even while the R-07 is in its prime recording location, and out of reach.

Main Functions
• Control record/playback
• Check and adjust input/output levels
• Add markers and move between markers
• Select scenes and edit settings
• Select a song for playback
• Make link settings

Ratings and reviews

On my Galaxy S21 Ultra it disconnects from Bluetooth in typically 3 to 6 minutes. Then it can't reconnect without manually unpairing and re-pairing. This sudden loss of control has caused many failed recordings. I've done extensive troubleshooting in various RF noise environments and with different phones. Always the same poor reliability. ROLAND your customers deserve better quality. You need to fix this immediately. Many others have the same problem.

Looks good in theory and layout, but terribly inconsistent Bluetooth connectivity. Mainly, I'm having trouble with the Bluetooth remote control -- it drops often, sometimes simply won't connect, crashes app, etc. Also a little concerned that it attempts Bluetooth connection without any PIN code or verification, possibly allowing someone to hijack it. Reducing my rating to 1 star. It's worthless since it won't consistently connect, even from 1 foot away. Please fix! And fix dev email address!!!

Abit tricky to get working on Android 10, I've had to add it as a trusted device at least twice now. App does what it should on my pixel 2. Beware of the backup recording mode - input gain decreases from 42 to 0, with no increments in between. (Which Doesnt cut it for live music)... Turn scenes off, choose no backup, and you are all good... 🙂

What’s new

Added a function to limit the volume when using headphones with the R-07 itself.
(Because there is a risk of damage to hearing when recording / playing at high volume for a long time.)
