About this app

This is a pedometer app for Toyama Prefecture. While primarily intended for Toyama residents, it can also be used by people outside the prefecture.

The app has been updated with a points system. Points are awarded for achieving step goals and entering your weight. Enjoy accumulating points through daily health maintenance!

The app also features "Toyama Photo Collection," where you can collect Toyama's tourist photos using points.

You can choose from Toyama Prefecture's mascot character, "Kitokito-kun," as well as mascot characters from Toyama's leading professional sports teams.

You can also choose a mode where you travel along the Hokuriku Shinkansen and Tokaido Shinkansen lines, visiting stations based on the distance you walk.

Starting from Shin-Takaoka Station, once your daily total distance reaches a certain point, you'll proceed to Toyama Station, then to Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen Station. Continue on to Tokyo Station, then Shin-Osaka Station, and finally back to Shin-Takaoka Station.

Furthermore, you can challenge yourself with limited-time missions.

* This app is only compatible with smartphones that meet the following requirements:
(Android) Android 10 or later (however, some devices are not supported)
* The distance is set to the actual number of kilometers from Tokyo Station. Please note that the stride length is fixed at 65cm for calculation purposes.

* The "Genki Toyama Kagayaki Walk" aims to support the establishment of exercise habits among Toyama Prefecture residents. Participation and entry into prize draws by residents outside of Toyama Prefecture are not permitted.

* "Toyama Health Lab Researcher Toshinobu Tomiyama," "Genki Toyama Mascot Kitokito-kun," and "Burito-kun" are official characters of Toyama Prefecture.

* If automatic app startup is disabled in settings such as the "Auto-Start Manager" on your smartphone (e.g., ASUS), your steps will not be counted. Please allow automatic startup of "Genki Toyama Kagayaki Walk" and restart your device as a precaution.

* If your steps are not being counted, reinstalling the app may resolve the issue depending on your device.
