Current emotional status and experience- Super frustrated Recent update seems to have caused some issues with my on/off feature. It will only turn the system off. The app won't register the off status though so it's forcing me to have to use the pioneer remote or walk over and press the power button. It was working fine up until today from what I can tell but I havent really used the system since this past weekend so no real baseline. All's I know is right now it's takin a big'ol crap on my evening. Please fix asap!!! I have a vsx 1024 btw.
What a useless app design! What's up with this childish interface, those bubbles? Works, kinda, but so frustrating to use, make it simple, easy to use, not this childish nonsense. This app didn't improved much in 6 months. Volume knob takes way to long to increase and decrease volume. Playing with equalizers makes sound to cut off for a brief time. Sometimes I can't access tone/balance control. All menu is slow as hell. Extremely disappointed with this useless app.
Not for tablets The app is not terrible on the phone, but on a tablet, you just get large ugly images. Why zoom... use the screen real estate mire effectively! No landscape mode is another nail in the coffin. The app also often needs to be killed from the app manager even after proper close out, otherwise it sits in the background draining the battery. I'm back to the 1990s style remote until they improve this app.
PLEASE FIX VOLUME SPIN SPEED takes for ever to raise and lower the volume waaaaay to much spinning
Needs to allow customization. Regularly have to enter IP address of receiver to find it on the network. Like most people, I have certain things that I do on my receiver regularly, depending on the input I'm controlling. Being able to create a customized remote interface that would have the handful of things that I use it for would make this app WAY more usable. As is, many controls are in different sub menus, making it take a while to do what I want. Also, the app regularly cannot find the receiver on my WiFi and I have to manually enter it's assigned IP address. No other device on my network has this issue.
Worked great before 5.1 update Have vsx-1130-k worked flawlessly before update now can't find on my wi-fi even after I enter IP address have sent 4 emails to Pioneer no response.
