Not Intuitive I was told by the company that installed my Onkyo system that this is the most recent app. It is terrible ... not user friendly and certainly not intuitive. Switched to the older app ... MUCH better!!
Installed the old and new versions. The Older one had worked better for about three months. It was much better than using the physical remote that came with the unit. This week, they both stopped working. Reset Router. Reinstalled both apps. Neither one works. Fails to connect to my TXNR 757! I hope Onkyo is working on a fix. All is well now with the new APP ... works like a charm! Only problem now is Pandora stations using NET do not appear in the same order as they do in all OTHER devices. Stations appear in random order, and hard to use when one has many!
App can't find AVR It work for two weeks than suddenly it cannot find AVR. I can connect via browser. I have tried everything to make it work but no luck.
Stopped working after a week Keeps telling me that it can't find the receiver & that I'll have to reboot the router, the receiver & manually enter my ip address. Please fix the bug. Looks like I'm not the only one with this issue.
Does this work? Worked briefly but recently not at all. Does not find the tx-nr656 receiver, even after reinstalling the app, rebooting the entire network and restarting the AV receiver. Doesn't even work when using a known (and confirmed) fixed ip address. Quick connect on my S7 works but that is Bluetooth. The Onkyo cost a LOT of money and thus app is hugely disappointing. PS: VPN is largely incompatible with all home devices - it needs to be switched off.
Was good This app worked well for a couple of weeks, by far the best way of selecting tracks from the media server, but then cannot find the unit. No attempt at resuscitation would bring it back to life as others have found. Hope onkyo sort it soon as it makes the product a lot more recommendable.
