About this app

Simple Alarm is an alarm clock app that lets you set the time by tapping numbers. It does not display ads.

■ Set the time by tapping numbers

Number tags for hours from 0 to 23 and minutes in 5-minute increments (0, 5, 10…55) are displayed on the screen. Scrolling or turning a dial is unnecessary; simply tap the desired number to set the time. If you want to specify a time other than 5-minute increments, you can fine-tune it in 1-minute increments using the "-1 / +1" buttons.

■ Stop mode that won't stop until an NFC tag is held over it

You can choose between "Normal Stop" or "NFC Stop" for each alarm. With NFC Stop enabled, the alarm won't stop until you hold a registered NFC tag over the back of your device. By placing tags in the bathroom or kitchen, you can physically prevent yourself from stopping the alarm in bed and falling back asleep.

One tag can be registered to multiple alarms. You can share a tag for the bedroom door with family members, or register the same kitchen tag to each weekday alarm. The app supports NTAG213/215/216 tags.

■ Repeat, Holiday Off, Today Off/Tomorrow Off

You can choose to repeat the alarm on specific days of the week or ring only once. Enabling "Holiday Off" will skip Japanese holidays. A holiday list is included with the app.

The "Today Off" and "Tomorrow Off" switches at the top of the home screen skip the alarm for that day or the following day. They automatically deactivate after the selected day.

■ Snooze

You can choose to snooze for 5 or 10 minutes. While snoozing, you can stop the alarm without waiting for the next ring from the notification in the status bar. The large clock on the alarm screen always displays the current time, so you can see what time it is even after snoozing several times.

■ Alarm Sound

You can choose a different sound for each alarm from the alarm sounds stored on your device. You can distinguish between alarms such as waking up, taking medication, and meetings by sound. The volume is controlled by the device's "Alarm Volume" (separate from media volume).


■ Interval Timer

Open the timer from the icon in the upper right corner of the home screen. Select the hours and minutes using the number tabs to start (you can also add a "seconds" row in the settings).

You can save up to 10 frequently used settings as "Favorites." Since you can specify the number of sets and intervals, it can be used for repetitive exercises like HIIT. Progress is displayed, such as "Set 2/3," and a countdown sound plays 3 seconds before the end of each phase. During execution, you can operate pause and complete reset separately.


■ Ensuring the Alarm Sounds Reliably

Some manufacturers (Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, Samsung, etc.) may stop background apps due to power saving features. Manufacturer-specific procedures are summarized in the "Power Saving Settings Guide" in the settings. The alarm uses a Doze-resistant mechanism to activate at the scheduled time.


■ No Ads

No ads are displayed. Usage data and personal information are not sent to external parties. Account registration and login are not required. The NFC tag purchase links (Amazon, Rakuten, Yahoo) are affiliate links; tapping them will open external websites.

■ Pricing

All features are free for the first three days. After this period, alarm creation, editing, and sounding will stop. To continue sounding registered alarms, a one-time purchase perpetual license (¥250) is required. There are no monthly or additional charges. Once purchased, it can be restored on other devices using the same Google account.

・When you want to set different alarms for weekdays and weekends.
