About this app

Simple Lock is an app that prevents you from opening specific apps during designated time periods. It does not display advertisements.

For example, if you decide to "not open social media and video apps from 10 PM to 6 AM on weekdays," the screen will be covered and you won't be able to operate those apps during that time. This allows you to temporarily remove apps that are difficult to close on your own.

■ Block by Time and Day
Create a "block frame" by setting the start and end times and the days of the week that repeat. You can choose from daily, weekdays only, individually specified days, or once. You can also set it to span across dates, such as from 10 PM to 6 AM the next day.

■ Cannot be stopped midway
There are no "cancel" or "skip" buttons to exit the block. Once set, it continues until the end time arrives. Even if you change your mind, you can't stop it immediately, preventing "just 5 more minutes" from dragging on indefinitely.

■ Unblock with NFC tag or wait until time expires
You can choose the unblocking method for each frame.

One option is "NFC tags." You register commercially available NFC tags, and to unlock, you hold the tag over the back of the device. If you place the tag in the entryway or another room, unlocking requires going to that location, making it less likely to be unlocked impulsively. You can reuse one tag across multiple slots, or register multiple tags in one slot (compatible with NTAG213/215/216).

The other option is "Time-based unlocking only." Until the end time arrives, no operation can unlock it. This is the only option available for devices that do not support NFC.

You can also choose what happens after unlocking with an NFC tag: "Don't block again for the day," or "Even if unlocked, start again when the end time arrives." During unlocking, a message will appear on the screen, allowing you to manually resume blocking or stop for the day.

■ Phone calls and messages are not blocked
Phone calls, messages, settings, home screen, keyboard, and Simple Lock itself can be opened at any time. Even if you receive a sudden call or message while apps are blocked, it won't prevent you from answering.

■ How to Choose Which Apps to Block
There are two ways to choose: Specify only the apps you want to block, such as Instagram or YouTube; or allow only the apps you want to use, such as phone calls and notes, and block everything else. In the latter case, newly installed apps will be automatically blocked until added to the allowed list.

■ Mechanism to Prevent Loopholes
Even if you advance the device's time to try and escape the block, the remaining time will not decrease. Even after restarting the device or changing the time settings, the block list will continue to function as before.

Some manufacturers' devices (Xiaomi, OPPO, Huawei, etc.) may automatically stop apps due to power-saving features. Instructions for settings such as "Exclude battery optimization" and "Allow automatic startup" to ensure apps work reliably are explained in the initial guidance and settings screen.

■ Blocked Screen and Notifications
The blocked screen displays the remaining time until the block ends and instructions on how to unblock. You will receive notifications when the block begins and ends.

■ Pricing
For the first three days (72 hours), all features are free. After this period, you will no longer be able to create or edit new block frames, and existing frames will become unresponsive. To continue using it, a one-time purchase perpetual license (¥250) is required. There are no monthly or additional charges. Purchases can be carried over to new devices or other devices using the same Google account.

■ Privacy
Simple Lock only checks app usage to determine if the currently open app is subject to blocking. It does not collect or send browsing history or usage time to external parties. No account registration or login is required. Accessibility features are not used to avoid being mistakenly identified as a screen lock app.

■ When to use this:
・You tend to spend too much time on social media and watching videos at night.
・There are times when you need to concentrate on studying or working.
・It's difficult to close apps on your own.
・You want to prevent the use of specific apps at certain times.
