About this app

Wise World 3 is the third volume of a series that teaches everyday knowledge through 4-choice quizzes, and it is the advanced one. It contains 150 questions. What sets this volume apart is that it does not stop at what to do: the explanation goes after the reason why things work that way. You can start here without playing the earlier volumes.

■ An example of a "why" question
"In a field, if you keep planting the exact same kind of plant (like wheat) on the same land every year without resting it (monoculture, continuous cropping), why does it fail badly a few years later, with the soil growing thin so crops will not grow?"
You pick one of four choices, then read what is actually happening in the soil. All 150 questions are built this way.

■ Five categories, 30 questions each
• Body Science & First Aid (1-30)
• Money & How the World Works (31-60)
• Trade-offs & Crisis Skills (61-90)
• Information & Digital Literacy (91-120)
• Earth & Our Shared Future (121-150)
Pick a category to work through those 30 questions intensively. Each category keeps its own progress, so you can move between them and resume each round where you left off. Mixed mode draws from all 150. In both modes no question repeats until you finish a full round, and the choices are reshuffled every time, so answers cannot be memorised by position.

■ The experience points go to the reader
Each explanation is a full paragraph, typically over 100 words. Scroll to the end, wait five seconds, and the Next button unlocks. That is the moment the experience points are added: 30 for a correct answer, 25 for a wrong one. Getting it wrong still moves you forward, as long as you read. Every 100 points is a level, up to level 99. The reward is for reading and understanding, not for guessing right.

■ 12 languages
Japanese, English, Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, French, Russian, Indonesian, Bengali, and Swahili. Every language contains the same 150 questions. The Japanese edition carries furigana reading aids on the questions, the choices and the explanations.

■ The series and difficulty levels
• Wise World (Beginner, 100 questions): the gentlest volume, starting from the very basics
• Wise World 2 (Basic, 100 questions): easy, covering a wider range of everyday topics
• Wise World 3 (Advanced, 150 questions): this one, slightly harder, digging into the reasons why
You can start from any volume.

■ Offline and your records
Every question and explanation is stored inside the app, so you can keep going where there is no signal. The only thing that needs a connection is the credit link at the bottom of the home screen, which opens our website in a browser. Your level, experience points and round progress stay on the device and are never sent anywhere. No ads, no purchases. The app is light and runs smoothly on older devices.

Some questions touch on the body and on safety, but this app does not diagnose or treat anything. It introduces widely known knowledge through quizzes and explanations.

Everyone deserves access to knowledge, whatever their language or circumstances. The Wise World series aims to be that doorway.
