About this app

Offline Japanese-English dictionary and Japanese language learning study tool. Includes example sentences, kanji information and conjugated forms for each word. Some Japanese words are also translated to many other languages (see below).

The words can be searched using kanji, kana, romaji or latin alphabets. Full sentences and conjugated forms are also recognized. Kanji can be searched by selecting multiple radicals.

The app uses the internet connection and foreground service permissions to synchronize study and languages data.

Ratings and reviews

Really good app but some big flaws. --When I go to click search I very often press the games button because the icon bar slides down from the top after a short delay. (Was able to change in settings per developer feedback) --Common translations of words can be way down on the list below less common ones. (e.g for しか the common translation "no more than" is 14th on the list). Good luck finding the right one. --The example sentences are WAY too advanced for a beginner/intermediate use.

Every new device it's downloaded & still impresses. Would love to have Central Catalan language added! Also not sure if the other app is included, like it used to be. You'd click on a word and had the option to use a Kanji Tree app or something. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💯% A+ 👍Edit: On official flash cards, same words/kana will appear before the deck is completed. Also there is no stroke order for kana. And for kanas ノンソシツ they are very hard to distinguish without the flick of the brush stroke the beginning.

As an offline Japanese/English dictionary, this app far surpasses expectations. It has options to favorite words, create study lists, and (my favorite) look up kanji by radicals. It's more than I expected when I downloaded it, and it's now competing for most used app on my phone. No ads, easy interface that lets you look up words by radical, kanji, romanized Japanese, or English. I love it!
