About this app

A text editor that treats Korean as a first-class language. Chosung (initial-consonant) search, encoding, HWP/DOCX text open, large files, and a reading mode — in one app.

Good for
• Everyday notes that need a bit more than a stock notepad
• EUC-KR / MS949 logs, subtitles, and older files that must not mojibake
• Pulling body text out of HWP, Word, or PDF
• Long documents on a phone or tablet

Find and Korean
• Chosung search: type ㅎㄱ to find 한글, in the document and in recent files
• Find and replace, match case, regular expressions, $1 group replace
• Line numbers, go to line, word wrap, pinch-zoom

Files and encoding
• Open a text file from a file manager and it lands in a new tab
• Auto-detect UTF-8, MS949/EUC-KR, and UTF-16, or reload with a chosen encoding
• Batch-convert encodings into new files (originals stay untouched)
• Open text inside a ZIP without extracting (Korean names, natural volume order)

Document conversion (text extract only)
HWP, HWPX, DOCX, DOC, PDF, RTF, and ODT open as a new text tab. The original file is not modified. Saving writes a txt file.

Large files and reading
• Documents over 10,000 lines stay responsive — only the visible lines are drawn
• Reopening a file restores scroll and caret
• Reading mode: fullscreen, tap zones, volume keys, bookmarks, TTS, auto-scroll

Layout
• Phone: title-only top bar; history and settings in the left menu
• Tablet and Chromebook: Home / Edit / View ribbon
• Light, dark, or system theme; font family and size

Editing basics
New, open, save, save as, tabs, undo/redo, cut/copy/paste, and share.
