The cancer app Lion helps people with or after a diagnosis of cancer to keep an eye on their quality of life. The Lion app can accompany you during and after cancer therapy in order to increase your personal well-being.
You can use the following functions to document your well-being:
Patient diary:
You can document your condition in a patient diary. A title and mood can be assigned to each entry. Entries are sorted chronologically in a list. All entries can be searched for keywords.
When creating an entry, examples of keywords are displayed as the title of an entry to help you.
Any number of entries per day can be created. For example, you can record individual entries with the associated mood on different topics.
Questionnaire:
You can answer the EQ-5D questionnaire within the Lion app. The questionnaire is available at all times and can be answered as often as you like. We recommend that you answer the questionnaire 2-3 times a week. The answers to the questionnaire can be viewed either individually or over time. You can use this history to see from what point in time there are limitations in your well-being and whether certain patterns are recognizable. With the clear representation of the chronological progression, communication with your treatment team can be improved.
Information tile:
This tile gives you an overview of various information pages on topics that people with cancer might be interested in. The topics of self-help, quality of life, nutrition, sports, finances, corona and cancer and other topics are addressed.
Help tile:
In this tile, all functions of the app are taken up and clearly explained. This supports you with questions or problems in use. If you still have questions or suggestions, you are welcome to contact our support (support@molit.eu).
There are also the following options for using the Lion app:
Quality of life study:
An enhanced version of the Lion app has been developed and is currently being investigated in a quality of life study. This version focuses on the personal, emotional burden of those affected by cancer and integrates automatic surveys of movement using the smartphone's pedometer. If you want to learn more about the study, you can find out more via the help tile in the app or contact us at lion@molit.eu.
