You walked in on your own. Everyone else looks like they already know each other. Your phone is the easiest place in the room to hide.
FirstMove is the app for the ten minutes before you give up and go home. Open it wherever you are, see who else is in the room, and meet people nearby before the night ends.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS
A VibeZone is a room drawn on a map. Someone opens a zone around a venue, a festival field, a conference hall, a rooftop, a park bench. While it is open, anyone standing inside can see who else is there and say something.
Step outside and you are gone from it. No profile left behind. No follower count. No feed to keep fed.
An app to meet people at events. Not a dating app. Not another place to scroll.
HOW A NIGHT GOES
1. Open the map. See which zones are live near you, or draw your own wherever you happen to be standing.
2. Put together a face for the room: a name, a line about what you are up for, an icon. It exists in this zone and nowhere else.
3. Knock on someone. If they knock back, a chat opens. If they do not, nothing happens and they are never told you tried.
WHERE PEOPLE USE IT
- Conferences where you know precisely nobody and need to network fast
- Festivals, when you lost your friends four hours ago
- Club nights, gigs and parties in a city you moved to last month
- Meetups, run clubs and classes on week one
- Gallery openings and weddings where everyone else arrived in pairs
CONSENT, BUILT IN
Every introduction runs through the same three steps: knock, mutual confirm, connect. Nobody can message you before you have said yes. There is no request folder filling up with things you never asked for.
Chats close when the zone does, unless you both decide to swap something permanent.
THROW A PARTY
Your place, your friends, a private VibeZone for one night. Pick a time, drop the pin and invite people by link, email or contacts. Guests only see the exact pin an hour before you start. Afterwards, a recap of who came.
SAY IT WITH A GIFT
Send a gift into any open chat, from a Wave to a Castle. Gifts cost Coins, bought in packs. SparkCredits are earned when someone gifts you or someone you invited checks in. SparkCredits buy gifts in FirstMove, nothing else.
PRIVACY, SPECIFICALLY
Not a promise. A design.
- The profile you build lives in one zone and dies with it
- Your location places you inside a zone; it is never drawn on a map for anyone to follow
- Messages are end-to-end encrypted between you and the person you agreed to talk to
- Faked GPS is rejected before it reaches us, so being in the room means being in the room
- Leaving is the delete button. Walk out and the zone forgets you
AI WRITES THE AWKWARD PART
Tap the spark and FirstMove drafts it:
- Event titles and event descriptions
- Zone names and blurbs
- A bio, a username, an opening line
- A one-off icon for your temporary profile, made to order
Everyone gets an allowance every month. FirstMove+ gets a far bigger one.

Anyone can create an event now. No approval queue, nobody to email.
