About this app

This is a complementary app, which means it is designed to support — not compete with — other apps. It was built based on many years of teaching and living abroad, and it is a truly human-made app. This app focuses on the difficulties learners face when they start learning Vietnamese — especially the differences between English and Vietnamese and what makes Vietnamese unique.

Although this app includes only a small set of words and phrases, it not only reflects the essentials of Vietnamese but also provides common communication topics and sample conversations. Besides helping learners overcome the difficult period when starting a new language, it also provides very important sentences for daily and emergency needs.

The design of the app is really straightforward. Users can simply use the plus (+) button at the top of the app to navigate and select a learning topic, and use the forward (>>) and backward (<<) buttons at the bottom to move between lessons within a topic. The play button at the bottom is used to read the main Vietnamese phrase out loud. Next to each English lesson headline is a quick navigation button, which allows you to quickly scan all lessons in one topic, and you can also select a specific lesson you want from the dropdown list.
