About this app

Buddhist Paritta (Pirith) Chantings from the Sri Lankan tradition. Easy to listen. Voice is synchronized with the text in karaoke style to allow for easy reading and learning.

This app features protective Paritta chants presented word-by-word with their meanings, chanted by the Most Venerable Nauyane Ariyadhamma Thero. The app is fully functional offline, allowing you to listen to these soothing chants anywhere without an internet connection.

It includes all the essential chants from the 'Piruwana Poth Wahanse' (The Book of Protection) along with several other significant suttas.

These sacred chants are highly suitable to be played and recited for:
• Pregnant mothers seeking blessings
• Those recovering from illnesses
• Students preparing for exams
• Special life milestones and events
• Bodhi Poojas and daily chanting at homes or temples

App Features:
• Custom Playlists: Bookmark important chants and create your own separate playlists.
• Repeat Counts: Repeat a specific chant a set number of times (e.g., 3, 7, 21 times) for extended blessings.
• Playback Control: Easily arrange and change the playback order of chants.
• Karaoke-style Text: The Pali text and translated meanings highlight synchronously with the audio.
• Offline Mode: Listen to all audio tracks without an active internet connection.

You can also access the web version of this player at: https://pitaka.lk/pirith/

Please share this app with your parents, elders, and forest-dwelling monks who may not have internet access, thereby contributing to the noble gift of Dhamma (Dhammadana).

May this effort be a tribute to the venerable Nauyane Ariyadhamma Thero. If you find this app helpful, please encourage us by leaving a 5-star review!
