HLAT (Human Latency Test) is a precision benchmarking tool for measuring your reaction time, input accuracy, short-term memory, and device polling rate — all with millisecond accuracy.
Whether you're a competitive gamer tuning your setup, a researcher collecting reaction-time data, or just curious how fast your reflexes really are — HLAT gives you clear, reliable numbers.
— LATENCY TEST —
Measure how fast you react to visual and audio stimuli using tap or keyboard input. Four test variants: Visual+Tap, Visual+Keyboard, Audio+Tap, Audio+Keyboard. Each variant runs 5 trials with randomized delays to prevent anticipation. False starts are detected and discarded. Results show your average, minimum, and maximum reaction times per variant.
— PRECISION TEST —
Tap targets that appear at random positions and sizes across the screen. The test measures your hit accuracy, reaction speed to each target, and how quickly you start moving toward it. Choose from 10, 20, 30, or 60 second sessions. Results include total hits, misses, accuracy percentage, and average reaction time.
— MEMORY TEST —
A 3×3 grid flashes a sequence of highlighted squares. Repeat the pattern by tapping the correct squares in order. Each correct round adds to the sequence. Three difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard) control flash speed, delay, and pattern complexity. Track your level reached, longest sequence, accuracy, and reaction time per tap.
— POLLING RATE TEST —
Measures your touchscreen or input device report rate in Hz. Move your finger continuously for 3, 5, or 10 seconds while the app timestamps every input event. Results show your detected polling rate, nearest standard rate, total samples, and min/max across measurement windows.
