This app was close to a half mile off on my girlfrind's location. I was at mile 2 and it said she was a few blocks passed me. I moved to mile 7. I figured it out later that I moved before she got to mile 2. I thought it was tracking her phone. It's not. It just makes it appear like they have a relatively accurate location.
There are better apps out there. It's disappointing that as a spectator I can't send runners cheers or encouragement. Race joy lets you and is easy to use vs feeling like a glorified sales app like this one. Seriously, I can post cheers to facebook but not to the runners? Tell me how that encourages the runners. Disappointed.
This app was perfect! I was able to track my runners and be where they needed supplies on time every time!
My daughter likes to run marathons and of course I worry. It is super easy to follow her in real time to see her progress and message her to cheer her on. And if she has any issues it is super easy to locate and rescue her with help...
Guess what? Marathons start REALLY early in the morning! Also, guess what? This app will send you a LOUD push notification when a racer you're tracking starts the race, waking you up. The app offers no way of setting the notification sound (and doesn't use the 'default' notification sound - which I have set to silent) - you have to go into Android System settings and block it from making sound there.
