Turn your Android tablet into a MIDI controller you can actually play.

MidiPad plugs into your computer over USB and appears as a standard MIDI input device in your DAW. It sends real MIDI — notes, velocity, CC, pitch bend, aftertouch and program change — and receives too, so knobs, pads and faders follow what the DAW sends back. No account, no cloud, no latency added by a server, because nothing ever leaves the tablet.

BUILT FOR A LARGE SCREEN
Three instrument layouts share one screen. STUDIO puts eight knobs, eight pads, an XY pad and two octaves of keys in front of you at once. PERFORM trades the keyboard for a 4x4 pad grid, a step sequencer and eight CC faders. KEYS gives the keyboard the whole width for two-handed playing.

PLAYS THE WAY YOU EXPECT
Velocity comes from contact area and strike height together, shaped by a curve you can tune and see. Haptic feedback fires on every hit. The state you need while playing — channel, octave, bank, arpeggiator, tempo, scene, last note — sits in one strip along the top, so you never stop to check a menu.

CONNECTING — PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING
MidiPad turns your tablet into a MIDI device that a computer plays host to. Connect the tablet to a Mac, PC or Linux machine with a USB cable, then set the tablet's USB mode to MIDI (Settings › Connected devices › USB › MIDI, or tap the USB notification). Your DAW then lists the tablet as a MIDI input — no drivers, no configuration.

Two things to know:
• The USB mode resets to charging after a reboot, so it has to be set again. Android gives no way for an app to do this for you.
• MidiPad does not drive standalone hardware synths or keyboards plugged into the tablet. It sends MIDI to a computer, not to devices attached to the tablet.

MidiPad also speaks Mackie Control, so the mixer page drives the faders in most major DAWs.
