Independent and unbiased search results
Mojeek is a crawler based search engine with its very own index of web pages, so we are not reliant on any other engine to produce our results. Mojeek doesn't have an agenda because we believe it’s a search engine’s job to provide you with relevant search results, not to force a point of view on you.

Search that doesn’t follow you around
Mojeek was the first search engine ever to state that it doesn't track its users, and we've been committed to privacy ever since. This means Mojeek does not possess any identifying information on you, such as IP addresses, search history or click behaviour. That's because we think it’s your right to search the web without someone following you around.

Search technology created from the ground up
When you do a search on Mojeek, the results shown have been generated by our own algorithm, from our own database of web pages, which was crawled and made searchable by our own technology.

Hosted in the UK’s Greenest Data Centre
As a search engine, our servers need to be connected 24/7 and use more power than most, so our responsibility to minimise our footprint on the environment is something we believe to be very important. This is a key reason why we chose Custodian to host and run our servers, as a winner of the 'Green Data Centre' accolade at the Datacentre Leaders Awards.

Ratings and reviews

Mojeek is great to find info on alternative censored subjects however its algorithm or dataset is not as accurate as other search engines so for regular search it may not find what you look for: often on those subjects it can be completely off and returns irrelevant results. Another point is that when in the results we can't long tap to share the link toward an article. The computer version has far more options than the mobile app like removing the news: when I search I want to focus on that.

On a positive: No Ads, like other search engines have. Probably as unbiased as you can get. Bad side: does not scroll. Results come in groups on individual pages. Articles have no date. Some links don't work. Best to use this search engine on the PC/laptop.

I like that Mojeek is a real alternative search engine. For this reason I will use it hoping it improves. I don't like that there's no dark mode and no options for news results or timed result(ex. Past hour, 24 hours, 1 month, etc.).
