To maintain a sincere record of your finances, every rupee and paisa accounted for, is the advice sent down through generations. But because of immovable consistency and considerable will required to follow this advice, only a very few managed to do it and reap the benefits of being in check of their money.

Fold aims at making those benefits accessible to everyone, without any effort required. Every time you make a transaction, for whatever purpose, a reminder to make a note of it, where it’s spent, on what e.t.c shouldn’t be hovering over your head all the time. Fold connects to your bank accounts, credit cards and investments to automatically get, tag, add merchants & extract insights without you having to do anything.

Use Fold to:

- Connect your bank accounts and automatically track transactions and balances.
- Add rich metadata to those transactions, like notes, tags, icons, merchant e.t.c.
- Search and Filter transactions, figure out exactly how much you’ve spent and on what in a given duration.
- Connect your credit cards and track real-time usage and transactions.
- Connect your investments to track how well your portfolio is doing.
- Put a rein on your spendings by being aware of where your money is exactly going, and places you can control your spending.
- Check your Cash Flow and compare it with previous months.
- Track accounts of dependents and loved ones so they never have to explicitly ask you for support.

All in all, be on top of your finances as if you’ve hired the smartest personal accountant. Except you’ve not, you’ve just downloaded Fold.

Ratings and reviews

Great UI, but I can't fully rely on Fold yet. Key accounts like PPF (SBI) and local Co-op banks are missing. Using the 'Fixed Deposit' option as a workaround for PPF is inaccurate. I understand the Account Aggregator (AA) limitations are not your fault, but we cannot wait years for every bank to join. Please add a 'Manual Account' entry option immediately. Without manual entry for unsupported banks, I'm forced to use other apps to see my true net worth. 🙏

It's always possible to go from a great garage project to a functioning company with revenue. I've not used fold for a while and noticed today they have started a paid version of the app. A great idea, but a few things felt weird. The transactions would never auto assign to type before, manual categorisation was needed etc. But it wasn't something AI needs to be brought in for.I'm getting the feeling the enshitification has started, especially if you justify a sub by benchmarking dosas at 200Rs.

Absolutely fantastic app. Perfect for keeping track of all my credit cards in one place. One small issue I have is that I hold ICICI Coral and Sapphiro cards but Fold is unable to track my Sapphiro spending at all cause when the bill is generated, both Coral and Sapphiro statements come in one Coral branded statement. Would be great if Fold could find a workaround to this.
