SROVA Remote is the companion Android app for SROVA, a headless music player designed to run on a Raspberry Pi or compatible Linux system connected to your DAC.
Put the SROVA player out of sight and control it from your phone or tablet over the same local network, without needing a monitor, keyboard or desktop environment.
With SROVA Remote you can:
• Connect to and switch between multiple saved SROVA players
• Browse and control TIDAL using your own TIDAL account
• Browse and play music from your SROVA local library
• Browse and play Internet Radio
• Control play, pause, previous and next
• Use Android notification and media controls
• View the current track, artist, album and cover artwork
• Display Now Playing on supported Google Cast screens
• Detect when a saved SROVA player is offline and reconnect when it becomes available
The Google Cast feature is a passive visual display only. Audio continues to play through the DAC connected to the SROVA player.
Requirements:
• A working SROVA player
• The Android device and SROVA player connected to the same local network
• The SROVA web interface, normally available on port 8081
• A TIDAL account only for optional TIDAL features
• A compatible Google Cast display only for the optional Now Playing display
SROVA Remote is a controller for SROVA and is not a standalone music-streaming service.
Control your SROVA player for TIDAL, local music, radio and Cast displays.
